C2017 was a challenging growing year for vintners throughout the North Coast.  From this vintage, many questions have come to light: Are the climatic extremes witnessed in 2017 the new normal for winegrowers in Sonoma County?  How did unpredictable weather events affect maturation dynamics?  What are the lasting impacts on wine and berry chemistry in the wake of the horrific firestorms? These questions and more will be discussed at the 2017 Sonoma Vintage Report, as the symposium will break down the previous year’s growing season and take a science-driven approach to understanding the 2017 vintage in Sonoma County.
